Huadu Shiling International Leather City

Just 20 km north of downtown Guangzhou, Shiling is building up into becoming
the centre for leather goods and materials to serve the entire country.
Leather reaching world markets from Shiling
Occupying an area of over 230,000 sqm, Shiling (International) Leather City
houses 2,100 shops. More than 4,000 enterprises produce and
trade leather goods, as well as wholesale raw and ancillary
materials. The Leather City houses some 65,000 workers. Annual
output tops 230 million leather products,
while in terms of sales volume, Shiling Leather City ranks top.
Today, Guangdong's leather trade makes up half of the national total.
Leather goods from Shiling play a leading role in the Guangzhou market,
which in turn accounts for 60% of the Guangdong market. With an annual
output value exceeding Rmb4.7 billion (HK$4.4 billion), leather goods
from Shiling are sold to 25 mainland provinces, cities
and autonomous regions as well as Southeast Asia, Europe and the US.
Shiling Leather City has also been designated by the China
Leather Industry Association (CLIA) as one of the leading
specialised markets to be nurtured by the state. Moreover,
it is nominated as one of the five major specialised markets in Guangdong.
It attracts an estimated 500,000 buyers from all over the world every year,
including Hong Kong, Korea, Italy and Spain. Different types of transaction
are accepted such as wholesale, direct sales and cash-on-delivery. Several
domestic banks operating in Shiling offer the necessary services and support.
Shiling is home to a large number of famous brands of leather goods in China,
such as Fansite, Liannu, Beijixiong, Ludasi, Pingguo Wangzi, Jixiang
and Feilong. Agents of renowned foreign brands which have
set up offices in Shiling include Montague
and Crocodile. Large-scale leather goods enterprises have also mushroomed.
Tips: If you take taxi cost about 150RMB from the city centre to Shiling.
There are shuttle bus from The BaiYun Leather market
to Shiling every 20mins. from 6:30am to 7:00pm.
